Where has the time gone??

I promise to write a "real" post this week, since it's Fall Break and I'll actually have time to perhaps sit down! A quick up date for all of those who have asked....

1. Yes, we are back in the house and almost done unpacking! :)
2. Yes, my foot is still broken. I am now only having to wear my boot every other day!
3. Yes, I'm still pregnant! We are somewhere between 37 and 38 weeks along. We have a scheduled C-Section for Nov. 2nd! YAY for Foster soon being here and for Britton being a big brother.
4. My maternity leave starts on October 25th and yes, they found someone to be in my room.
5. NO, I have not updated any pictures in way too long. Sorry to add to that disappointment, but I have not taken a picture of Foster and I, aka: a belly shot, since week 31. I'll get on that...tomorrow maybe. :)

Take me Out to the BaLlGaMe!!

As a summer gift to Kyle I bought us tickets to a Nashville Sounds game. Before we had Britton we would go to many summer Sounds games. Since Britton has been born we had not been, until a few weeks ago. Things took a little turn when we discovered we would be taking Britton with us for his first game. :) He had a blast! He enjoyed drinking an Icee and eating a hotdog. He couldn't stop watching the players and the fans long enough to even let us take a good picture! Our little monkey made it through the 4th inning before he decided it was time to walk around. Anyone that knows Britton, knows this is quite the accomplishment! We all had a great time and are ready to go again.

Britton's first Sounds game!
Watching the players be introduced!

Things with Foster are going well! I'm feeling and looking VERY pregnant! This week has been a very tiring and hard one. I have had activities and responsibilities every night this week. I've been missing getting to spend time with Kyle and Britton. I've also managed to somehow hurt myself! I go to the doctor today to see if I have a severe sprain or a stress fracture to my left ankle/foot. It's quite painful during the day and with my RLS at night, sleep and being comfortable at all has gotten to be almost impossible!! Luckily, I am just over 31 weeks today and our sweet baby will be with us soon. I know it sounds crazy, but I think I'll get more sleep when that time comes then I am now! :)

I think this short clip shows why Britton needs a beginner drum set for Christmas!!

Maybe he's going to be a future diver/swimmer instead of a drummer....

OuR SuMmEr ReCaP...using pictures :)

Denver! Britton and I went to stay with Aunt Ne and Uncle Sean for a week. Mom flew up with us and we flew back just the two of us. I was so proud of how great he did, perfectly behaved little passenger! We had a fun time in CO and were glad we had the chance to go!

Aunt Ne bought this Handy Manny table set for Britton for Christmas...he got to break it in a little early!

Despite the heat we took Britton to the Denver Zoo. He had a blast looking at all the animals, alive and stuffed. :)

He seriously needs his own beginner drum set! He had so much fun playing Uncle Sean's...notice his serious face/lips!

We of course had to take him to Chuck E Cheese for lunch. He enjoyed playing more than eating! Again, note the serious face! I have no idea how he knew to ride like that, all boy!!

Being home this summer with my little man has turned him back into a Momma's Boy and I absolutely adore it!

Ohio! The day after Britton and I returned from Denver we loaded up with Kyle and headed off to Ohio. One of my dearest friends from Sequoya was getting married! It was a hot day, but so much fun! Brooke looked gorgeous! We also got to see my love Hagen and her sweet boy Grey. Britton and Grey are mini-twins and we were so thrilled they got to hang out and become buddies!

Brooke, Hagen/Twin and I...LoVe tHeSe GiRlS!!

Kyle and I after the wedding

Britton was exhausted from the long drive and playing with Grey!

Sweet buddies at CPK

I hope these two go up to be the best of friends!

Sea Grove/Sea Side Beach Trip, round Two! We had another fun filled week at the beach! Britton did much better with the sand this time and even more patience when we went out to eat! He's growing up way too fast and turned 18 months our first day there! (We did have professional pictures done and are excited to view those soon!)

Opening gifts for his 1 1/2 birthday! Yes, we celebrate 1/2 birthdays! He even had cake!

My two sweet boys!

My buddy and I before going out to eat.

He was ready to tackle the beach this day, such a big boy!

He LoVeS the water and especially LoVeD the pool!

Bristol! Britton is making this trip all by himself. I'm excited that Kyle and I will have my last summer weekend together, but so sad that I won't be spending it with Britton...bitter sweet! I drove to Crossville today to meet my parents and pass over my sweet boy. He cried when he left his Momma, but perked up when he saw the books and toys in the backseat! I'm sure he'll have a great time!

Floods, Trips and Baby 2

This may be the first time I have an actual reason for not updating that is not only good, but understandable. We were flooded out like many others in Nashville on that lovely May 1st. We lost both SUVs, three rooms, everything in our carport, our fence and basically our yard. We have been waiting to hear if we are in the buyout, but it looks as if we are not included in phase one. Since the day of the flood we have been living with my in-laws. Am I thankful to have a place to go, of course....but...living with 5 adults, 1 toddler, 5 dogs and 1 cat is starting to get to me and Kyle too. It's overwhelming and horrible timing! We were some of the few who did have flood insurance and are hoping to start the rebuilding process in July with a move in date in August. It could be a lot worse an we know that...remind us of that if we complain too much!!

We had scheduled to go to the beach on May 28th and decided to continue with that plan. It was a nice break from everything. Britton was very different this year than last! Last year he loved the sand and hated the ocean; this year was the complete opposite. He did well and we did get to spend a couple of hours at the beach in the early morning and then a hour or so at the pool in the afternoon. Vacations at the beach are much different with a toddler in tow! We have plans to return to the beach on July 24th (Britton's 18th month b-day) and stay for a week. We will be able to get pictures again from 30A Studios and are excited to compare those to Britton's picture's from last year at 6 months.

Baby #2 has been giving me lots of sickness and just all over pains. :) What a sweet child! This baby does not kick anywhere as hard or as often as Britton did, so that is a welcomed relief! We went to see Dr. Rupe on the 8th for a check-up and listen to the heartbeat. We were planning on asking for our gender ultrasound and didn't have she told us to come back in two weeks. On Tuesday we went had Ashlin and Jessica watch Britton so we could go to our appointment! I, well actually Kyle and the whole family were hoping for that perfect American family of 4...a girl and a boy. I knew that this pregnancy had been so much different that my first. but with carrying low I had a gut feeling it would be a boy. Sure enough we will be welcoming another baby boy into our family around October 27th! We decided on Foster Buchanan for his name sticking with a first name that is actually a last name and a middle name that honor someone we cherish. Foster's middle name is after my sweet grandmother, M, who passed away a few weeks before we found out we were pregnant with Britton. She was an amazing woman and I think she would be honored to share her maiden name.

Britton and I will be leaving for a week long stay in Denver on Friday. Kyle is unable to go due to work, but Mom will be flying up as well...not on the same flight however. Renee and Sean have not seen Britton since Christmas when he was 11 months so the change is huge! I'm hoping for a peaceful flight full of sleep....let's hope!!

We're a tAd BeHiNd!!

Things have been so busy around our house, we have neglected our blog! Quick recap everything with the help of pictures. :) We had Easter weekend at our house again this year! My Aunt June, Uncle Alfred, cousin Kelcie, P, Mom and Dad all came in on Friday. Britton had a blast playing with everyone and showing off. Easter Sunday we went to church and then had Kyle's family come over. Britton was quite spoiled by the Easter Bunny this year as he left gifts for Britton at our house and somehow at Mimi & Pa's house and even a small gift at Grandma and Grandpa Cincere's house. It was good to see everyone. I also feel so blessed that Britton gets to spend time with my family that lives so far away, but especially my Grandfather, P. What a wonderful and Godly man and one of the biggest blessings and most influential people in my life. I am thrilled that my own son is getting to know him and loves him just as much as I do.

Since our last update about baby #2 I have had two more appointments. The baby is looking great and the heartbeat is strong. I am still measuring small, which I did before and I've also been losing weight, which I also did before. I had gained 4lbs, then lost lbs, and then lost another 4 lbs. So after 12 1/2, almost 13 weeks of pregnancy I have lost 8 pounds, but I feel very pregnant and have a baby bump! Being that I'm measuring small we get to have more ultrasounds then normal, I consider this a special treat to see our little one. :)

Being that we are waiting on baby #2 to come we are also trying to get our house ready, once again, to go on the market. My Dad and P have done a lot of work downstairs. We now have a separate third bedroom and laundry/sewing room. Kyle and I are now in the works of painting those rooms, organizing them, then moving on to outside. Kyle has tackled some smaller projects, such as, new fans inside, new outside lights and the start of the dreaded yard work. I've been busy finding and buying new furniture for Britton's room. :) The sooner we finish the home improvements the sooner we go on the market and HoPeFuLlY sell!!

It hasn't been all work in our house! This past weekend was Kyle's 28th birthday and I wanted us to be able to go somewhere, just the 2 of us, to celebrate. Kyle and I have not been away together as a couple since we had Britton! We spent the weekend in Pine Mountain, GA at a peaceful and relaxing resort called Callaway Gardens. We got to spend time walking the gardens, going to a Butterfly Sanctuary, had bike rentals, boat rentals, and Kyle ended the weekend playing a round of golf. (I was simply the driver and caddy that day. :) We had a great weekend and it was so special and nice to spend time alone. So a very hApPy BiRtHdAy to my wonderful husband!

I'll do my very best to keep our blog updated more often...promise! :)

Jamaica: Round 9 & Pregnancy: Round 2

It seems that every year returning to Jamaica I leave with the same feeling, "Is this really over for another year?" What an amazing experience it is for me...emotionally, mentally and spiritually. It is eye-opening week and reawakens talents in myself that I tend to forget I process. This year Jamaica was also a physical experience for me. Being pregnant in your first trimester and being in Jamaica are at times a completely miserable pairing! I loved being able to return this year and do not regret the choice Kyle and I made for me to go, but wow, hello sickness! I've been sick this entire pregnancy, since day one, but being sick in a country that is so hot and sticky, while trying to serve the people and not get sick on them...it was rough! I only got unbearably sick on Thursday and spent some time at the church resting. Fatigue held me back at times, but I am very proud of how much I was able to do and hope I didn't let me team down! My amazing Jamaican parents and grandparents are very excited for our new addition and looked after me the entire week. Sister J has requested we have a girl though as she already has two Jamerican grandsons. :)Overall Jamaica was an amazing trip. I'm hoping that next year Kyle and I will be able to travel together as it does so much good for us individually and as a couple and even as parents.

Now to answer some questions I have gotten about this pregnancy. It is TOTALLY different than it was when I was pregnant with Britton. I am sick nearly every day, I am always nauseous, some days I eat very little and other days I eat everything in sight. I have even been having cravings this time around. For example on Monday I had Kyle go and get me a kid's meal from Captain D's (which we do not eat at EVER) and had it with a glass of chocolate milk. Yesterday we planned on having pasta, but on my way home I smelled Arby's and my craving for a roast beef sandwich, french fries and a bowl of Lucky Charms won me over. Hopefully all of these differences mean a little girl is on the way. ;) It's been a very rough 9 weeks, but I know the end is within sight and the feeling that comes with a newborn has no words to describe the emotions. Thank you all for all the congratulations, kind words, gifts, calls, and texts. We couldn't be happier about Britton becoming a big brother!

Another Busy Weekend

My parents and my Grandfather came to Nashville for the weekend to celebrate my birthday (early) since I will be in Jamaica when it comes around! We put my Dad to work building a wall in our downstairs room. The framing has been completed and the next time he visits we will officially have a 3rd bedroom with a closet and a SEPARATE laundry room! Yay, for grown-up birthday gifts. :) While Dad was framing and Kyle was painting outside, P watched Britton and Mom and I went to the Otter Creek Consignment Sale. I had not planned on getting anything as Britton has more clothes than he will probably wear! I did end up spending a little, only $7.50, and Mom did the rest of the damage! We picked out some outfits for Britton, a musical saxophone to help with his band, a three little pigs talking book/house/figurine toys, a polar bear toy, a LIttle People pirate, musical bath toys, and the best of all a POTTY!! :) I'm hoping to start taking Britton to the bathroom when he's 18 months and just let him sit on it and "read"....hopefully this will encourage him. It was a good sale. We were amazed at how much was left when we left at noon and it was over at 2pm. I wonder what happens to all of the items not sold?! We grabbed Chic-fil-a, one of my favorites, and headed home. After lunch, more home improvement work, and lots of play time outside for Britton we had dinner, a birthday cookie and opened some gifts. It's been a busy weekend, but good. :) Spring Break could not be coming at a better time, though I'll be working in Jamaica it will still be a much needed break and even sleeping through the night. :)
